Keighley Town Council is pleased to have recently approved a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the recently formed Keighley Civic Society.

The document sets out a series of commitments that each organisation has agreed to on a range of shared areas of work. Which include working in partnership to protect, preserve and enhance important assets that are of importance to the residents of Keighley.

Jane Lee, Secretary of the Civic Society, commented; “Keighley Civic Society is proud to be working with our Town Council. Our aims and objectives align as we’re all working in the best interests of Keighlians and Keighley. We want a town fit for the future but respecting its past: our built heritage and its cultural legacy. This is a marriage made in heaven and we look forward to working with the Town Council and residents and announcing our first joint project to enhance, enliven and enrich our town and the lives of all its communities.”
