Small rise in Allotment rents for 2012/13

SMALL RISE IN ALLOTMENT RENTS FOR 2012/13

At a meeting of the Allotments & Landscapes Committee on 19 January, members agreed to a small rise in the allotment rents for 2012/13.

From £45.00 to £50.00 (which includes water) for one plot, from £32.50 to £35.00 for concessions and any others pro rata.  This is the first rise made in rental charges since the Town Council took back the allotments in 2005.  A large amount of funding has been invested in the allotments since 2005 and members considered that the rise was justified.
