The Deputy Mayor's Badge

This Badge was presented by John Henderson Esq JP during the year of his Mayorality 1935-36.  It is made of solid 18 ct gold bearing the Arms and motto of the Borough of Keighley in Heraldic colours surrounded by oak leaves and acorns.  A royal blue ribbon is attached the badge is contained in a case of rich red colour.  The Badge is engraved on the reverse side with the following inscription:-

 

"The Gift of the Mayor, Councillor John Henderson, JP, to be worn by Councillor David Rhodes, JP, and his successors as Deputy Mayor 1935-36."
