Election of Deputy Mayor until May 2007

The following nominations for Deputy Mayor for the period to 17 May were received:-

                                   seconded by Councillor Baxendall

Councillor D Miller -    proposed by Councillor Wright

                                  seconded by Councillor Rhodes

Councillor Walker -     proposed by Councillor Edge

                                  seconded by Councillor Ali

Proposed by Councillor J Newton

Seconded by Councillor Ali, and

RESOLVED

That a secret ballot be held for the election of the Deputy Mayor for the period to 17 May 2007.

After a secret ballot Councillor B Hudson was elected by a clear majority to the position of Deputy Mayor for the period to 17 May 2007.
