Keighley in Bloom - Silver Winners
CATEGORY 3 - LARGE TOWN - 2007
UNFORTUNATELY WE DIDN'T MAKE THE GOLD ...
A very enthusiastic bloom group have made a significant impact since the spring assessment. The summer route took in many of the town's features and in particular Cliffe Castle Park with some good bedding displays. The East Morton School project was excellent along with a colourful Volunteers Public House. The helpers at Oakworth Station need to be applauded as this was in good condition. The group still have work to do and will need to concentrate their efforts for next season.
Areas suggested for future development included:-
- Continue to address the weed problem
- Permanent planting/improved planting of timber boxes in town
- Continue to build on the working relationship with the Council
