Town Mayor's Civic Service - 14 October 2007
Keighley Councillors and civic heads from neighbouring districts and parishes took part in the Town Mayor's Civic Service on Sunday 14 October. They gathered in Town Hall Square then paraded to Keighley Shared Church led by a piper (Piper E Arnold) and a drummer. Among those who attended the annual event were the Lord Mayor of Bradford, Councillor Robin Owens and the mayors of Calderdale and Skipton. Civic representatives from South Kirby, Denholme, Ilkley, Cullingworth and Morley were also present.
The church service was taken by the Rev Peter Mott and the Rev John Hudson with a lesson being read by Councillor David Miller.
