Yorkshire in Bloom 2006 - Silver Gilt Winners
The Keighley district has blossomed in the Yorkshire in Bloom contest!

Keighley topped its "large town" category and received a Silver Gilt award.
Judges praised the enthusiasm and involvement of the local community and in particular schools and stated that the hard work starts now to progress to the Gold award.
The Friends of Oakworth Park picked up an "outstanding" award in the neighbourhood's category while The Oaks at Keighley gained a Silver award in the category for public, private and charitable establishments. The Volunteer Arms, Keighley received a Silver award in the public houses and restaurant section, Oakworth Station on the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway was awarded a Silver Gilt for tourist and visitor attraction and finally Hillworth Village received a Silver Gilt in the Ben Bailey Homes New Housing Awards.
